Begin in Oranjemund & Bater Update

‘Begin’ had its debut official selection at the 1st International Film Festival of Oranjemund, In Namibia. It was selected as part of the “Video Art and Experimental” category.  The screenings were held at the OPS Auditorium and The Little Theatre on the 13th & 14th of October.

Also last week, it was announced that ‘Bater’ was both a quarterfinalist in The Monthly Film Festival (TMFF)  and a pitching candidate in IndieCork. Since then, ‘Bater’ has progressed to the semi-finals in TMFF and the finalists will be announced next week.

In Cork, Mark Dollard’s ‘The Story of Aylan’ took home the Ronan Phelan Script Award. Once again, a huge thank you to Liza Bolton who was representing not only ‘Bater’, but her own script as well; ‘Heberus and Herimon’ for Room 12 Productions. As mentioned in last weeks posts on seanwrenn.com and here, Liza was there to step in and fly the flag for 2 pitches, as well as having the fantastic short film Topgraphia Hibernica screening at the festival too.
